What Is UPK?

The UPK program supports all 4yrs old children, providing them with a wide range of opportunities that familiarize them with the school environment, preparing them for kindergarten. Young children learn best through developmentally appropriate and thematic based activities. The curriculum emphasizes language, thinking processes, academic concepts and social interactions that occur during center-based play and throughout the day.

The role of the teaching team is to facilitate higher-order thinking, problem-solving, stability, to ensure safety and to provide a high-quality education for all. We recognize our families as their children’s first teachers. We honor and invite parents within the classroom to read, teach, and celebrate with us and look forward to working together as a team.
